From garage door openers to gate operators, from loading dock doors to access control systems, from everyday entry to high security, Linear makes radio controls to cover the industry's diverse range of applications. Single and multi-channel transmitters and receivers can be mixed and matched within product families to address just about any user need.

4-portal Access Controller
Model Number: AM-3

Image

The AM-3 4-portal Access Controller is designed for use as a primary access control device for gated communities, parking garages, office buildings, apartments, dormitories, hotels/motels, commercial buildings and recreational facilities.

Housed in a lockable, plastic enclosure, the AM-3 features a 2-digit LED display, nine status indicators, four relay indicators with four relay activation pushbuttons. Three programming buttons, a reset button, and a power indicator are present. The enclosure is monitored with a magnetic tamper switch.

The system controls its four output relays by responding to various input devices that react to proximity cards, transmitters, and entry codes. The four relay output channels can be programmed to control electric door strikes, magnetic locks, door & gate operators, or barrier gates.

Access is granted or denied depending on the current user’s authorization to gain access and system settings that control groups of users or all users. Complete access control event logging, access time restriction, access location restriction, and administration functions are also available to manage the installation.

The AM-3 is network ready. AM-3 units can be interconnected with Linear’s AE-1000 and AE-2000 Telephone Entry Systems through a 3-wire RS-485 network.

Two sets of Wiegand inputs are available for connection to 26, 30, or 31-bit Wiegand devices (card readers, etc.). Two sets of PBUS inputs are available for connection to Linear’s line of remote accessories.

Installation and programming are made easy by Linear’s AccessBase2000 software.

1-Channel Block Coded Key Ring Transmitter
Model Number: ACT-31B

Image

 The Model ACT-31B 1-Channel Block Coded Key Ring Transmitter is designed for use with Linear's access control products. The Model ACT-31B is a single-channel device supplied with a quick-disconnect key ring. Also included are lithium batteries with a five-year service life. A unique 10-second time-out feature prevents the system from being shut down by a single transmitter transmitting continuously.

The transmitter is MegaCode format, which means each transmitter is factory preprogrammed with one of over 1,000,000 codes, virtually eliminating the possibility of code duplication. Because the receiver "learns" each specific code, no unauthorized person can gain access to the system by reprogramming a transmitter.

Block coded transmitters are factory programmed to a sequential series of transmitter ID codes. When used with a Linear access controller, transmitters can be locally or remotely programmed into memory by entering the first and last codes of the block into the system. Facility codes can be selected to further customize the system.
Features

    * Compatible with all Linear access receivers and controllers
    * Supplied with quick-disconnect key ring
    * Factory programmed MegaCode format supports over 1,000,000 codes
    * Two type 2016 lithium batteries supplied
    * RF frequency: 318 MHz
    * 1.25" W x 2.25" H x 0.48" D
    * Minimum order quantity 10 transmitters

Telephone Entry System
Model Number: AE-1

Image

Linear’s Telephone Entry combines telephone entry with full-featured access control, including keyless entry and panic functions. It is extremely easy to operate, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, including apartments, condominiums, dormitories, office buildings, and gated communities. It offers security, convenience, and handicapped access.

As a telephone entry system, it provides full duplex telephone communications through hands-free operation, and controls four openings via touch-tone telephone. It is supplied in a rugged, stainless steel, surface mount housing that will withstand years in the toughest environments.

Remarkable ease of operation is made possible by a highly visible keypad and large display, which presents visitors with a scrolling directory of up to 3,500 occupants (residents or employees) by name and code. When a code is entered on the keypad, a two-way voice link is established so the occupant can identify the visitor and grant access. Occupants gain entry using a special transmitter by keyless entry.
